13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out! Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?

Composed of a precocious cast, no character in 13 is older than the show’s title, making it wonderful for theatre companies that feature young artists. The cast is comprised entirely of teenagers, but the stories that come to life here are ageless, the emotions they explore timeless, the laughter and the memories they provide priceless.

**Students will be cast in roles through an audition process that includes bringing a prepared instrumental track of 32 bars of a musical theatre song (this can be on a phone), as well as learning a short dance routine that is performed in a group.

**Open Registration rehearsals include an introduction to the show material, games, and grouping according to age and abilities.
​
*Ensemble rehearsals are scheduled on Tuesday & Sundays. Those cast in lead roles will have additional rehearsals, which may include some Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays depending on Lead Roles.

MYART reserves the right to limit the number of performers for any given show, limit the number or location of any show and to change the overall production process. Any necessary changes to the production of the show do not change the number of rehearsals required in the production process or the registration fee for the show.
