Blackbox Shows

Join us for MYART’s BLACKBOX SHOWS–our blackbox musical theatre program is designed to help your child sharpen performance skills with instruction in role selection, character study, and preparation. These shows highlight the talent of our performers and staff, pulling together presentations in a matter of weeks. Performances will be held at the end of session. Blackbox shows differ from the MainStage shows in that they are held in a smaller, more intimate, performance space and seating is limited.

Your child will be cast in roles through an audition process and present work in an intimate blackbox environment. To ensure students have the opportunity for a more intensive educational experience, registration for BLACKBOX SHOWS is limited.
